Happy happy New Year Catch - I hope this is an absolutely wonderful year for you!

I don't make resolutions...I try to work on myself a little each day. Sometimes it works, others it doesn't, but such is life. ;-)

Have a great '09 and I don't believe in breaking resolutions so I don't make them.

Resolutions are made to be broken. I'd stress myself out about them... so, I've been resolution free for some years now!

I gave up on resolutions years ago. Krout sounds good to me, but I'm the only one who likes it. Some how we never got around to eating on New Year's Eve. That's what happens with "creative differences" in a marriage.LOL!

Here in the South (and maybe other parts of the country, I don't know :)) we eat black eyed peas and turnip greens on New Year's Day. Supposedly for good luck in the coming new year.

I just eat 'em 'cuz they're good! ;-)

Happy NEw Year Catch!!
Ham and cabbage is one most folks think will bring them good luck here. I used to do the whole pork loin and tater thing. This year I tried the ham and cabbage. I fried the cabbage in butter this year. Not bad, better than boiled. Sure does stink up the house.
I am so proud of you for not smoking, if you can do that you are perfect. Wishing you and yours nothing but the best this year!
