too cute....

Should children witness childbirth?

Due to a power outage, only one paramedic responded to the call. The house was very dark so the paramedic asked Kathleen, a 3-yr old girl, to hold a flashlight high over her mommy so he could see while he helped deliver the baby.

Very diligently, Kathleen did as she was asked. Heidi pushed and pushed and after a little while, Connor was born. The paramedic lifted him by his little feet and spanked him on his bottom. Connor began to cry. The paramedic then thanked Kathleen for her help and asked the wide-eyed 3-yr old what she thought about what she had just witnessed.

Kathleen quickly responded, "He shouldn't have crawled in there in the first place......smack his ass again!"

good one catch! My neice is going to have a baby girl any day now. Her 7 year old ask where the baby was coming from, she said her vagina, later he told his grandpa that the baby might not get here soon, she was coming from China.-ha

funny, haha.

In response to your question, should children witness childbirth. Personally I doubt it, at least not my daughter Ana. She was five when Nick was born, and I had to take her with me for my six week check up. EVEN that was traumatic for her........if she had witnessed childbirth I think it would have made a devastating lasting impression. She doesn't even want to have kids, just from going with me for my six week checkup. and she is scared to death to have a pap test. I told her, no one likes it, but you are someday going to have to have one. She is 18 now, and I will leave it up to her.

don't ask me what was so traumatic....for her. It was just a routine checkup. I have wondered many time, WHAT it was that upset her so much.....
