These babies are hand made from marzipan. Im not sure what marzipan is exactly, I think its a little like cake icing. I know its a candy. Can you imagine that someone could make these by hand? If I had one I would keep it forever. They are just so perfect. Someone is very blessed and talented to be able to do this out of a sweet confection. I just wanted you guys to see them. Are you as amazed as I am?

Amazing, absolutely, the patience it would take to make anatomically perfect candy babies. But then what? Are you supposed to eat them????
this person is wasting their talent. they need to be working with a more permanent medium. I know I would buy one immediatly if there was a bettwr way to show it off other then taking it out of the freezer!

Marzipan is used all the time in cake decorating. I had a friend who made a cake shaped like a cornacopia (sp?) and all the fruits spilling out of it~she made out of marzipan. It looked sooooooooo real!!!
I've seen these before but they're still amazing. The detail is breathtaking.
I wanna see 'em make marzipan teenagers. If anything would scare you away from having marzipan babies marzipan teenagers would do it. ::grin::

I have seen these before too. The time and commitment that the artists puts into these is amazing. I just could not imagine eating a candy baby though

They look so real. I always marvel both at people's talent and your talent at finding these things. One of the thiings that has bothered me on this trip is not enough connection time to visit your blog every day. I'll have to catch up when I get back to Crystal.

I think they are amazing. But it is creepy to see them in someones hand. Reminds me of those timy premies you see on tv.
