If someone handed you a million dollars, what is the first thing you would buy for yourself? I dont mean money that you would give out...I mean something that you would buy just for you.
I'd spend half on things made of stones, yep a a run down mansion out in southern USA, or a run down castle in Eastern Europe ... and spend most of the other half doing it up and turning it into more than it was, better than its former glory. You know just for something to do. But I'be make sure I had enough left over to buy something special for you, Just for You!
I would buy a house right on the beach in the Carolinas......it would have lots of windows...I would be able to see the ocean from all the rooms...I would be able to hear the surf at night out my bedroom window. It would have like 12 bedrooms and bathrooms so we would never be crowded when my family and friends were there. And I would have my fantasy of having 2 men at once.....one doing the cooking in the kitchen and one doing the cleaning!! ; ))
i want a house big enough for all of us. one that each child would have their own space. i own my house right now and it is a mess. not in the sense of messy but their is mold in the basement from last yrs flooding. the bathrooms don't work properly. i have bare floors etc..etc... i had 2 companies, as determined by the mortage to do, inspect this home. their inspections were not the cheapest, one was 350 and the other was 250 and they both said, this was a great buy. well, guess who lied bit time, and nothing can be done. their fineprint, as it is with all of the inspection companies gives them no liability for anything going wrong..and the moratage companies or bank still request them...dumb. i would also just as fast buy airline tickets to Miami. i want my grandma to see and meet my kids, she is getting older by the day.
Ahhh, okay. Good question..so we're saying, after the college money, taxes and charity money and giving to family members in need is all taken care of......what would I buy for myself? Oooh, the possibilities. A week at a resort in Disneyland. A trip to Italy just for me and hubby. A maid service. A new front for my old house. (I really like where I live so I'd stay here)....a new wardrobe. New furniture. A boat, maybe. A little beachside cottage for my mom. A new car. A new adapted van for my good friend LauraJ. A mega-trip to my local SuperStore for lots of groceries. Pay my oil bill for 20 years in advance. Okay, I think I'll put the rest in the bank and think about it......thanks! That was fun!
Good Morning Catch. The first thing I would buy, an open ended plane ticket, to fly back and forth to meet everyone in blogger land. Then I would buy a pet ferret, because I've always wanted one. Thank you for inspiring me to keep going everyday :)
I would pay off the house so hubby would not be stressed out supporting the family, I would go swim with the dolphins at least once, and I would buy a bubblejet, old fashion jukebox from the 50's. I would also get a new treadmill and spend the money to get my hair done once a month because now I only go about twice a year.
Rel~ thank you for thinking of me....would I be flying first class? ( lol)
Chana~ wouldnt it be fun to spend a million dollars???? it would probably take me at least a whole day! lol
Tina~ that would be nice Tina and I know all those poor animals would love it.
Smileymama~ if only we had a million dollars!!!! what fun it would be!
Karen~ it would be so great to really meet everyone wouldnt it...my son used to have a ferret....it was mean, it would bite. I think you have to get them when they are really young and then you can train them to be lovable.
Lori~ paying off a mortgage is the smartest thing a person can do. When my Father passed away and he left me some money, I went straight to the bank and paid off my house...it was one of the best things I have ever done. Some people said they would take a long vacation and buy a brand new car...for once I was thinking very practical!
Laura~ I so wish you could get a house like that for you and Aaron...and a tv with no knobs so you wouldnt have to take the knobs off...lol
I'd buy my own island, so every now and again I could get away from all of wifey's animals. I would of course take wifey and the kids, but no bloomin' animals.
What's cute in our family, my MIL and husband both play the LOTTO,they never miss a week. Each of them telling eachother, that if they won, they'd take care of our whole family. What's sad is 1 million isn't very much anymore, considering houses in CA are that much for just 1 30yr. 2BD/2BTH house. If it were me for myself, I'd take my husband to Hawaii, get myself a whole day at the SPA, and buy myself a Jaguar.I hardly every buy anything for myself anymore.
But when it's just the two of us left alone you can bet your life I can rustle us up something finger licking good, and I mean finger licking good. lol!
Pixie~ I might have to get that sex in the city set myself...I loveeee Mr Big!
Bazaa~ lol..I understand Bazaa, you are not quite the animal lover Tina is...lol
Christine~ Nope a million bucks dont go too far anymore but Id sure like to try to spend it! lol
Q~ barbque is fine...as long as its tasty. And I do like strawberries and cream, Im thinkin since your not that good at cookin and cleaning maybe you could be the pool boy? ;))
(taken off tiny voices in my head, linked in my blogroll) I was surprised at how many of you didn't have a site feed though. What's up with that? If you're with Blogger, it's easy to set up - just go into Settings -> Site Feed and select "Full". Otherwise, you can make a feed in minutes at FeedBurner.com. Now, don't say I never taught you how to do anything. :D
i never know when you have updated .. please check this for me!!! im always the last to comment, and usually a day or so late... I hate that
Kayla~ Now hon, youve overspent by 19 million! The bank is really gonna be mad at you! lol
Libragirl~ yea, having someone fix your hair everyday would be kinda cool..usually I just blow and go...lol
Michelle~ its always fun to dream and when I dream I like to dream big!
Gingers Mom~ A housekeeper goes without saying!!! we all need one of those...lol
Blue~ I have no idea what your talking about chickie...lol...but I did go into my settings and it was on " full"....but I dont know all this blog lingo.....so maybe if you could explain it like you would to your youngest child..I may be able to grasp it! lol
Star~ wouldnt meeting everyone be the coolest thing ever???
Mimi~ you dont need a spa with that natural beauty of yours...your complexion looks like you just stepped out of a spa! Im not saying thhis b/c your my friend, Im sayin it b/c its the truth.
well then if its already on full, there is nothing more you should do. what I am going to do is go change MY settings to show new in the last 12 hours instead of six hours. people must be updating during a time when I am away for longer then six hours
Catch, I can't. I don't know from makeup, and my beautiful Stallion is my favorite color. Pink is my second-favorite, and I just love the fuzzy girliness of that interior. I might want tiger-print seats or floor mats as well.

Catch,
I'd buy a 900 year old house in the southwest of France. I'd give you tickets to come visit when ever you want.

i'd by a big house in the country with a big plot of land so i could set up an animal sanctury for all those poor animals out there that no one loves

Buying land to build a house fully adapted to meet Aaron's and my needs! Then I'm not sure what I'd do with the rest.

Well I don't mind doing the cookin every now and then, but I'm thinking you'd have to get a cleaner in to be your second man.
Hey 12 bedrooms that's a lot of cleaning, and a big family. I hope they are into bar-b-q because that's all I know ro cook for more than two.
But when it's just the two of us left alone you can bet your life I can rustle us up something finger licking good, and I mean finger licking good. lol!

A housekeeper! Good bye dirty socks and dingy floors! I am off to the spa!
I think the first thing I would buy is a "dream" home - or a vacation home! It's nice to dream :)
I'd spend 20 million and land a spot on the next shuttle flight!
If I won a million, I would book a week - at least a week, at a spa and have one massage a day - at least one - and a lot of pampering.
Marguerite Tennier
www.canadascoach.com
Wild Wellness and Confidence Coaching
Your Inner Lion Queen Transform-Action
I would buy the house in Green Bay.
DR John~ great idea!
Canada Coach~ I would have a week at the spa too!

CindraJo~ ok kid.....I voted for ya..I feel so much better now ;0
You are too kind! But I want that massage! LMAO!
A new car! I would so ditch the mommy mobile (read minivan) and get a sedan.
Then I'd go on a shoe & purse shopping spree....in Paris!
I haven't given this any previous thought.
A vette and some hair.
A fuzzy pale pink car interior, like the pimp car in Austin Powers in Goldmember (I think).

A house. I live in a static caravan at the moment.
