If you could go back to your school days would you want to? I have to say I would. I loved school.....not the learning part but the social part! I would not want to be a student in this day and age where they have to have security at the school ~ but in my day ~ it was a good time to be a student!
I remember the school dances ! Eveything was so much different then. Now they not only get their hair done, they get their nails done, they go to a tanning bed before the dance. They get their hair high lighted....geeze, all we had to do was get a new dress and make sure we had a pair of hose that didnt have a runner in them! And yes, we did get our hair done.
We didnt always have a band ~ sometimes we had records. We used to have a dance every Saturday night and that was the place to be. Whatever you did ~ you didnt want to get grounded for Saturday night! Sometimes it seemed as if the girls were on one side of the room and the boys were on the other side. When a boy that you had a crush on asked you to dance you were thrilled ~and as soon as the dance was over and you got back to your girlfriends you would all go to the restroom to talk it over ~lol ~and we always took our purses , as if we had a million dollars in them ~ And when we were freshman the junior and senior boys seemed like older men to us...lol ~ they seemed like they were 7 feet tall.
The only thing I would change about those days is I would have taken school more seriously ~ I would have tried to get better grades and I would have gone to college instead of getting married. But I was too busy having fun and doing my own thing. But it hasnt turned out to bad....que sera sera.

That must have been so fun. If my school experience was like that maybe I would go back.

It sounds great. I was busy getting grades and I couldn't dance to save my life. Those were not great days for me. I haven't gone to a single reunion of my class.

There were things I liked about high school such as basketball, and football games. I didn't go to dances. I had a great group of girl friends but I thought boys were dumb. I liked college. I should have taken a different course. I should have had nurses training for my life ahead. Being able to teach first grade does not help in running a ventilator.
