Off To School....

Today was Gaiges first day of school. When we got almost to the school, he decided he didnt want to go. So here is Mommy trying to console him. Grammy was right outside the door with big tears in her eyes. I knew if I went into that room he would latch onto me and I might just enroll in the class to keep him happy!

This is when we left......I cried all the way home.

This is after school...he was all smiles on the bus..he had a good time playing with the kids and he said he was a good boy! I had no doubts about that!
This is right after he got off the bus....I wonder if he realizes hes going back tomorrow? In a perfect world Grammy would be home schooling him.....~ and then we woke up!

For all you Dancing With the Stars fans I have to say Heather did herself proud. She looked very good out there on the dance floor, and no I am not a Heather fan, but I have to say she did good. I dont know why those gals with the long hair wear it up...they look like matadors. If I had long beautiful hair it would be down. Now Billy Ray.....that boy needs a haircut. And he didnt move real well, but its early in the contest, he has time to improve. He is such a handsome guy, I dont know why he wants that scruffy look. Miss America is beautiful and dances well. The guy on Cheers did well too....I forget his name. Who do you think will get voted off next Tuesday? I hope it isnt Billy Ray, but it wouldnt suprise me.

Ahhh... there is nothing like those first day of school memories. I still remember our oldest's first day of school. Good memories!

Tonight is Katie's open night where me and Tina go to see her teacher for a progress report. We're both quite excited about it.

I don't watch DWTS, but I did see about 3 minutes of Billy Ray. I don't think he can dance at all, but I love the long hair/scruffy look! LOL!

First day at school - oh my it's so hard to leave them! Hope it's been a little easier today.

I think Leeza Gibbons is going to go. I was also impressed at Heather Mills, although I would have loved the drama of her leg flying off!

My niece's first day of school is always a tear jerker. How cute is this little guy???

Aww bless him, I always think he has the cutest, cheekiest face.

He will soon settle down.

The first day is often more traumatic for the parents and grandparents than it is for the kid.

I'm turnin into a "rare" bird, but I still like coming by and either gattin' a smile, a laugh, or, in this case, a warm moment remembering the past...

and yeah, the first day I got off the bus, I had no idea it was going to be by the next day to take me back to school AGAIN?!?!

Awww..poor little guy!
I remember my own tearful first days of school.

Joey Fatone did a good job, but why should I be surprised?? He was in a boy's band for pete's sake!
I say Go Laila (sp?) Ali!

Poor kid! Reminds me of my first day at school. I hated leaving my mom because I always had so much fun at home. Home schooling sounds great to me!

He looks so handsome for his first day of school. The first day of school, IS just as hard on parents and grammas as it is on the child. I remember when Marissa had her first day of school, I checked up on her every hour to see if she stopped crying. Breaks your heart! It didn't take to long, a week or so, and she was running to play with her friends. I bet you would have enrolled too! :)

What a little cutie pie your grandson is! Hope he did better today!

I love Dancing with the Stars! I don't care for Heather. I thought her hair looked awful.

Billy Ray seems like a nice guy, but he CANNOT dance. Not even a little! Kinda sad. Leeza Gibbons wasn't good either....or Paulina Porozcova (sp)..I was surprised by that guy from Cheers. He did great!

ahhh, makes me remember when Nick first started school, he cried and cried. I have five kids, and none of them were this way, When Ana went to school she ran to school and came home the first day saying, ILOVE SCHOOL. Boy that wasn't Nicki's sentiment. So I can understand, man it is hard to leave them when they are crying.

Nick cried everday for a month. It was pretty rough on me. haha

Hi catch, I'm glad to see your comments are working. I went to a few back post and couldn't leave one, Oh well all is fine now.
I am glad your grandson was happy when he got home. It broke my heart to know you were sad at leaving him. I feel the same way about "my baby". Every time my daughter has to give her son to his dad for the weekend I go down early in the morning to give him a kiss and then cry all the way home. Us grandma's get just as attached as if they are our own kids huh. Hopefully he will continue to like school and enjoy his day
Hugs

I haven't read through your comments but I'm sure someone has mentioned the guy from cheers is John Ratzenberger (sp? of last name). He did a lot better than I thought he would! I also agree that Billy Ray needs a hair cut!

Sorry to hear your grandson had a rough start to his school day! Kayla was like that- didn't want me to leave/drop her off - but she enjoyed herself after I was gone!

How come he is starting school in the middle of the year?

It is hard, isn't it? When my first went to school, I cried and then I asked my husband if we could go up there and get her off the bus. He said no. :( I was sad.
