Thank You

I got to thinking after I read Mimis post yesterday, she mentioned about one of Durks friends going to Iraq. I got to thinking about him, whoever he may be, leaving his family and his home, and his countryI to go fight a war that has already taken the lives of so many of our young men.

And I thought to myself " How would I feel if it was me going to a strange country, with people I didnt know, and there was a chance I wouldnt make it back home." That has to be very scary. These boys are our sons, husbands, brothers, nephews, and grandsons. They are just regular people like us who have had 6 weeks of basic training and off they go.

Do you realize how much they do for us to remain free? Do you realize what a sacrifice it is for their wives and parents?

I just want to say Thank You. And I feel you deserve so much more than a simple thank you. You are doing a hell of a job over there. You make us proud. God bless each and everyone of you.

I love our troops, I support them and their mission. God bless them all.

I've met 2 Iraq vets in college so far and the stories they share..WOW.....they're really awesome.

Couldn't agree more. Support the war or not you better support the men and women fighting it, that's my opinion.

Totally agree..my heart suffers for them and their families, friends, girlfriends, boyfriends, children..ohh, so much death, so much hatred and anger that makes this whole world spin..

How wonderful of those 2 men to volunteer so that family man like Durk didn't have to go but they too have someone who will worry and pray and suffer...

oh please, enough with all wars..in our own hearts, with our own neighbours, with our own families..with other countries..enough death and enough young man and woman loosing it all..

You said that well, Catch. It's really important we keep those kids on our minds and hearts always.

Amen to that!
And they need our prayers and support more than we could ever imagine.

Thank you so much for supporting our troops without making it a political diatribe supporting one side or the other. Sometimes we forget the soldiers qand sailors who just do what they are sent to do at great risk. Thanks again for the reminder of who those soldiers are.

I think people of this generation often forget the sacrifice given so that we can worship who we want, eat what we want, and have the freedom to talk bad about the president if we want. It isn't this way in other countries. I have a military family, my son right now is a Marine....

Greatly said Catch! Thank you for reminding all of us. We so easily go on with life and forget what they are doing for us. And us aknowledging their sacrifice makes all the difference to them.

Dear Catch, Amen, you said it all! I learn so much everyday from being friends with Mimi, you, and Lori in the U.S.

Had to go suddenly, Champ decided to squat on the carpet... didn't make it outside in time! I'm sure this whole training is going to take time.
I am so in love with him! He is wonderful and I am so glad that we decided to have what was supposed to be "Jack's room" is now "Champs room". I think Jack would be really happy with that. It feels right.
Have a wonderful day. Have you had a chance to see "champthewonderdog.blogspot.com" ?
