no cruises

There are reasons why I wont go on a cruise.....this being just one of them. Another is because people have been disappearing on cruise ships. Another is because I dont know if I could stand not being able to see land. Then of course there is the Titanic....need I say more?

Yikes!!

I'm a nervous traveler anyway, but I managed to get on a cruise ship (after 9/11 no less!) for our 1 yr anniversary and it was so much fun!! It was a little scary to think about being out their on the ocean with no land in sight, but I tried not to think of that.

The inlaws are taking a cruise for their 20th next year and want us to go with them; even though I had such a blast on our cruise, I'm even more apprehensive now to get on the ship again!

I have been on 3 cruises, and they are absolutely AMAZING! I can't wait to go again. The food is awesome, awesomes ports, and gambling! Love em you should give em a try, they do a lifeboat drill for safety at the beginning haha!

It is weird seeing no land whatsoever but it's also cool as hell

Michele: I think Ill just stay a land lubber..lol

Fuzz: the loveboat!! I always used to watch it! nothing bad ever happened on the loveboat...I might make an exception for the loveboat.

Shelli: they are plenty good enough reasons for me!!!! lol. you go...send me a postcard!

Blue:the one guy was on his honeymoon! They never did find him. hes probably wearing cement shoes somewhere in the bottom of the ocean.

Phats: Im sure that life boat drill would come in handy with all those people trying to get off the ship at once!!!! lol

I've done two cruises - they were great.

Mainly 'cause there were no rough seas! :)

I feel the same way for the same reasons.I have no desire to ever go on a cruise. I do not see why people like them at all. Plus I don't like the feeling of being out in such a wide open space. And I would not know what critters would be near by. But you can do all the same stuff at a resort so I just don't get why anyone wants to be crammed in one space with so many people.

hhhmmmm...not that i know anyone who just got back from one...glad you didn't post this back a month ago, lol....

i never really thought of all the things that could go wrong...lol..i was terribly obsessing over all the ways the plane would explode, get hijacked, dive etc....

oh come on..you come with us next time?

I won't go either because I get sea sick. I know from my time working on the ore boats. There are pills but you have to take them before you get sick.

Hubby wanted to do a cruise but I would rather spend my time on dry land having unlimited fun then on a ship with limited fun

TC: everyone says they are great. My Mother has gone on many cruises and she loves them. I guess Im just a landlubber. ;))

Mimi: Thats exactly the way I feel....so many people...and those little tiny cabins....yikes.. with only a porthole for a window....

Tina: Im with ya sistah..give me land, lots of land....

Chana: I would have never posted this while you were getting ready to go...lol...and Im glad you had such a great time, but NO, Im not going with you next time...lol

DR John: Can you imagine being seasick and stuck out in the middle of the ocean???? yuck, not my idea of a good time.

kristi: way to go kristi....Im with ya 110 %.

I want to go on a cruise, but I am afraid I'll get clausterphobia trapped on a boat with no land in sight. I hadn't put too much thought about the boat sinking. Thanks for that visual...

Holy smokes! That picture is a bit scary. Still, I want to go on a cruise. I love boats and water. My sister and her husband have been on a cruise and they loved how much they were pampered. I could use some pampering and sight seeing time. :)

Good Enough reasons for me!I've been on one cruise, and it was only a 3-day, which I enjoyed!LOL...I forgot about the small cabins. To be honest, I get sea sick too, and I'm just content lay on a beach anywhere, with sun and a cold drink in my hand!!

kristin: what are friends for? lol

OW: I want to be pampered in a hotel...on land..lol

Christine: ahh yes, the beach, the sun, a good martini.....who needs a cruise?

Most people I have talked to who have gone on them said they would go again. I do not HAVE to go, but would not mind someday.

I keep on hearing the song a Three Hour's Tour...
I imagine you to be Ginger...

The reason a cruise has never appealed to me is that I am a spontaneous type of person. I don't want my every movement planned ahead of time.

I hope you are having a nice week.

I'm looking over a four leaf clover
just like the one I had
while sinking on the Titanic as it rolled over, and now I'm dead.....

wait a minit!

I fully agree with ya, dear, no ships or shark feedings allowed.
Won't go up in an airplane nop more, 'cause if something goes wrong, it can't pull over by a cloud.
I'de much rather travel by car or bus, and I don't care how much longer it takes me.
In the end it's much better t'reach the destination, even though even by these, there's no garantee.

just more options....

Lori: a lot of people like them...they say the food is out of this world.

Pendullum: haha....yes I would be Ginger, looking for a way off that damn island!!!! lol. So good to have you back!

Gary: right...I dont want anyone telling me I have to do this or that at a certain time.
