catch,
I couldn't stop laughing at that cartoon...
Wanna tell u a quick story...
I had my dog fixed...

And a result of this he was licking his privates morning, noon and night(let's face it it was his hobby before the operation and now that he was missing them... he was really missing them)
anyway, we always make songs around our house... its one of those weird things we do...

Fast forward to my daughter getting ready to leave school. There are a few kids left in class, I need to talk with her teacher for a quick second...
and there are a about six kids still fiddling arounds and they are all in grade three...

Hey, Everyone want to hear MY Dad's favourite song????

She does not preface that it is about our dog and his hobby...
She just says its her DAD'S favourite song...

In a voic,e that would do Ethel Merman proud she belts out, to the tune If I were a Rich Man...
She belts out...
IIIIIII'mmmm going to lick my privates, licky licky licky lick...
All day long I give them a little lick just to prove I'm not dead...

It was like watching a train wreck...
The teacher just looked at me...

The kids just screamed....
COOOOOLLLL!!!!!!!

And so began the legend of my darling husband in the school yard as the songmaster extrodinaire!

the joke is disgustingly funny...funny because it is so..but unfortunately i have 'heard' of some lonely guys who have...ok i think you get it...yuck, yuck, yuck,,,sad, beyond sad isn't it?

i got to tell you that i got all embarrassed with your last comment. when i first started blogging and even before i was quite scared. scared of what people might think of all my emotional stuff...i was afraid i freak you guys or seem funny or worst silly or immature...it was hard to just jump and take a chance that i may get away with no cruel or bad comments of what a child i must come accross to be sometimes...i'm super emotional and sappy, have you noticed? and i have been hurt and betrayed so much by so many that should have known better...it is/was a bit scary for me to put my real self out there and take the chance.

the fact that i have not only made wonderful friendships but have been welcomed and accepted so sweetly has aid me in confidence more than i can ever say. it is not difficult to fall in love with all of you. you have all shown me so much love and care and i feel so much care from all of you. and not only that but you are all witty and fun, smart and kind. sweet and gentle...i am overwhelmed with the goodness in all of you. good overwhelmed. i'm learning. you are all teaching me and i don't think you all know it. you are teaching me and encouraging me so gently and kindly and sweetly. i'm so happy. i'm so delighted to be so Blessed to have met so many souls that are so good and sweet.

thank you for your kind words. i feel so special. i'm for ever grateful. thank you. i love you too very much. i really do.

i hope your painting is done soon. i hope with the heat, you are not over doing it. i can't wait to see the pics. i know it must look beautiful.

take care and thank you again. i feel so happy. hugs.

Here's a dog joke for you, Catch:

During WW II an American soldier had been on the front lines in Europe for three months, when he was finally given a week of R & R. He caught a supply boat to a supply base in the south of England, and then caught a train to London.

The train was extremely crowded and he could not find a seat. He was dead on his feet and walked the length of the train looking for any place to sit down. Finally he found a compartment with seats facing each other; there was room for two people on each seat. On one side sat only a proper looking, older British lady with a small dog sitting in the empty seat beside her.

Could I please sit in that seat?" he asked. The lady was insulted. "You bloody Americans are so rude," she said. "Can't you see my dog is sitting there?" He walked through the train once more and still could not find a seat. He found himself back at the same place.

"Lady, I love dogs - have a couple at home - so I would be glad to hold your dog if I could sit down," he said. The lady replied, "You Americans are not only rude you are arrogant too."

He leaned against the wall for a time, but was so tired he finally said, "Lady, I've been on the front lines in Europe for three months with not a decent rest for all that time. Could I please sit there and hold your dog?" The lady replied, "You Americans are not only rude and arrogant, you are also obnoxious!"

With that comment, the soldier calmly stepped in, picked up the dog, threw it out the window, and sat down. The snooty old lady was speechless. An older, neatly dressed Englishman sitting across on the other seat spoke up.

"Young man, I do not know if all you Americans fit the lady's description of you or not. But I do know that you Americans do a lot of things wrong. You drive on the wrong side of the road, you hold your fork with the wrong hand, and now you have just thrown the wrong bitch out of the window."

Have a great day.
