Wedding in 6 days

Hope you all had a good weekend. I have no clue why this is underlined, but..whatever. Sometimes my computer has a mind of its own.

What I want to blog about today is "the first kiss"...do you remember your first kiss? Believe it or not my first kiss was from my husband. I was about 14 and he kissed me and just about lifted me right off the ground! We used to just sit around and kiss kiss kiss. Those were the days. I went with my husband all through high school. We shared a locker, he walked me home from school everyday. We went to all the dances together. We would break up and we would make up. He graduated a year ahead of me. He went to the service right after he graduated and since I was still in my senior year of high school and going to all the school functions and running with my friends I started dating. No one seriously, although I did date one guy for about 6 months. But I have to say I was having the time of my life. I stayed out late with my friends and had a good time! When I graduated I was having a super time that summer...I was out late and slept in till noon. ( My Dad kept looking through the employment ads in the paper, but I was finishing up Cosmetolgy School. I went for 5 hours a day. 1pm till 6 pm...perfect hours!
And then one morning the phone rang early and it was my boyfriends Mother ( the one I went with all through school). She just wanted to tell me he would be home that night!!!!! He and I were not writing to each other at all by then. I knew it wouldnt take long for him to find out I was dating in this town! I went to his parents that night b/c I did want to see him. He had been gone for a year. His brother had gone to the airport to get him. When he walked in the door and I saw his face I thought " Oh man, what have I done?".."and how am I going to explain it ?" We were at his familys for a while and then he took me home. We had a rec room in the basement so we went down there..he started kissing me and I was so nervous b/c I knew I had to tell him. So I did. It was his fault too b/c he didnt write . I had an engagement ring during my senior year of high school, but somehow through our letters we got into it and I took it off. We probably got into it over him not writing! At first he was very upset with me...( I knew he would be). But we talked and decided it was in the past and we really did love each other. Thats when he told me he was going back to Viet Nam for a second tour. He said he wanted to marry me but he was afraid I wouldnt be faithful. I promised him I would never cheat if I was married. ( And I didnt). So 6 days later we were married. My Mother always said she was going to write a book on how to plan a wedding in 6 days. We were busy! But it was a beautiful wedding, we put an announcement in the paper and it was open Church and the Church was full! I had a beautiful wedding gown and we even got a photographer on such short notice...imagine doing that these days. We went on our honeymoon and when we came back a few days later he left again. And he did write this time! I never went out partying again with my friends, I became interested in learning how to cook, we had bought a new trailer ( yes we were trailer trash) lol. I lived in the trailer till he got home. I didnt work, getting a job never entered my mind. He was gone 8 months this time. I still remember going to get him at the airport when he came home, I was so excited!!! It was so great to have him back. He was being stationed in Ft Bragg, NC and I was going with him. So we left our brand new trailer at home and moved into a crappy little trailer off base in NC. I called it a camper. We didnt know how to work the furnace, I had never seen one like it before. After a week of going to bed in my coat I told him get it fixed or Im going to Ohio. While we were there I got pregnant. I threw up everyday. We had no a/c when the weather got warmer. I just wanted to go home to my nice air conditioned trailer. We went home in July and I had my baby at home September 3. Not at home as in my house....in my hometown...lol. As I write this it seems like a long time ago....but yet it seems like yesterda
y. And I guess it all came from that first kiss that lifted me right off my feet!

I thought the 30 days we had to plan our wedding was a short time. Six days whew. When I was Pastor in my first parish I married a couple where he was leaving for military service the next day and wouldn't be back for two years. I told them they should wait but they didn't. Fifteen years later I was doing a program in a church in a different town and they came up and introduced me to their children and told me it lasted despite my fears.

My first kid was from the boy who broke my leg. I think it was a dare.

I love your story!

I lived at Ft Bragg for 4 and a half years. '79 through '82..... not a fun place. :(

My first kiss was with my first "real boyfriend" ~ Mike. I was 13 years old and a bunch of us were at my friend Debbie's house. In her room. I didn't know what the hell I was doing. While he was kissing me, one of the other boys there motioned to me that I should close my eyes! *lol*

I had NO idea what I was doing! ;-)

My very first kiss was when I was 7 and he kissed me on the cheek. My first kiss on the lips was when I was 11. I met the guy at the public pool. He then pulled out a condom and wanted to have sex! I was like no way!

Trailers can be very nice. I had a new 3 bedroom 2 bath one that I really miss. I sold it when Durk and I got engaged since I knew we would be moving around. But if I knew then what I know now I would have kept it and brought it up here.

What a beautiful story and wonderful memories!
My first kiss was when I was 14,too. It wasn't until I met my husband that the song "It's in his KISS", really comes to mind, or the movie HITCH! I could tell I loved my husband by his KISS. What's funny about my first kiss was to a boyfriend I broke up with and cried, because I thought we'd be going to different HS. We ended up going to the same one, and my first class of the first day of my freshman year, he was in. He'd met someone over the summer and stayed with her all through HS.
It just wasn't meant to be!

Surely everyone remembers their first real kiss. I was watching Jaws at the local theater. I suppose that is why I have a soft spot for horror and thriller movies.

Wow. That was quite a story. It sounds as though you truly had a great story at one time. In only 6 days. Wow.
My first kiss was when I was 12. My "boyfriend" pinned me up against the wall and kissed me. I kicked him.

This could be my story! My first kiss was my hubby at 14, too! We have been married 22 years, he came home on leave on Saturday and we planned our wedding and got married the following Saturday. We were 18! It was a nice wedding. We spent the first 3 years of our marriage in Japan away from family and friends and didn't have kids for 8 years. I think that might be why we've managed to stay together!!

I was 14 for my first kiss too. but I only dated him for a while. it was a fast peck right on my lips , it was the most amazing feeling ever. Now I have hubs and he can lift me off my feet with a peck too!

also you can be "trailer trash" living in a mansion, its not what or where you live, its HOW you live, and I cannot ever beleive you were trailer trash!
